Please Hurry!

I’m in danger. Please read – http://necascorner.blogspot.com/2009/06/brave-or-stupid.html. I need witnesses!

Proof

This is too funny! The only time the smoke detectors are going off in Matt, Amber and Chase’s home is when Denise stops by. Seriously! According to Matt, the alarms don’t sound any other time. That’s the amount of heat that’s being radiated. The affects of TTICTA are absolutely staggering!

Comparison

As you might have guessed, we’re a hockey family.  We don’t play hockey.  But we certainly contribute a significant amount of our annual income to the NHL to see hockey. But this is “dead time” in our annual entertainment budget.  Hockey ended a couple weeks ago.  Training camp doesn’t start for a couple more months.  […]

Critics

I had to go back and update my last posting on “Coordination” because my 15 year old called this morning and said, “Dad, I was rereading your blog and since it’s hockey it should be goal and not score.” I’m glad she’s reading the blog, but I hate it when she’s right! I have to […]

Coordination

We all know what “hand-eye coordination” is.  It’s the difference between batting .300 and .175.  It’s the difference between a puck getting blocked by a goalie and a goal.  It’s the difference between a catcher actually catching a pitch or getting hit in the forehead (that happened to me – thus off to left field). […]

Peace

Breakfast burritos brought some much needed early morning smiles. A morning meeting at Starbucks reunited two friends in a common quest. A lunchtime meeting brought entrepreneurial […]

Breakfast Burritos

I don’t have time to write this morning…sorry…have to make a burrito run! There is nothing quite like breakfast burritos to feed and fuel a team!

Elation

Yesterday, I heard cheers.  I saw jubilant tears.  I saw joy beyond belief.  I saw the exhaustion of waiting in eager anticipation for something to come turn into complete rejuvenation in the blink of an eye. Yesterday, after a year of work and months of waiting, the highly anticipated email was sent announcing the winner […]

Code Words

That last posting has created what I can only characterize as grave concern for my life at our home.  All I did was post a “natural remedy” to a continuing problem, and my “just trying to help” is not helping at all.  I didn’t even talk about the size of the cabbage that would be needed!  In […]

No Help at All (10)

Denise and I have been apart a lot recently with both of us traveling, me for business and her to visit the remotely located grandkid.  And last night I was reminded that the perimenopausal symptoms can last up to 4 years, as I was shivering in the bed with the window open and she was […]
